Central Plain

The Central Plain is the basin of the Chao Phraya River, is a lush, fertile valley. It is the richest and most extensive rice-producing area in the country and has often been called the "Rice Bowl of Asia".This is the heart of Thailand, the region where the original Thais first settled, attracted here by the extra - ordinarily fertile and to be found on either side of the Chao Phraya River and its tributaries. Bangkok is centrally located and surrounded by the heavy density of population.

Education Tour - Central Plain

Day 1 Bangkok
Arrive at Bangkok International Airport. Travel to your central city hotel for overnight stay. Bangkok is known to the Thais as Krungthep - "The City of Angels"and was established in 1782 by King Rama I, as the capital of Siam. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 2 Bangkok
Morning: Visit the Ministry of Education; to talk about education in Thailand.
Afternoon: Visit the famous Grand Palace and The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also Vimarn Mek , ‘the world’s largest Golden Teak structure’. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 3 Bangkok - Kanchanaburi
Travel by coach to Kanchanaburi, where the River Kwai Bridge is located. Hosted by homestay family in Kanchanaburi

Day 4 Kanchanaburi
Morning: Visit to an Elementary school in Kanchanaburi.
Afternoon: Visit a Secondary School, students will entertain with Thai cultural display. Return to homestay family, for overnight in Kanchanaburi.

Day 5 Kanchanaburi
Morning: Enjoy sightseeing tour at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Rachaburi
Afternoon: Visit the Teachers College.
Farewell Party with all homestay families, on the final night in Kanchanaburi.

Day 6 Kanchanaburi to Chiangmai
Travel to Chiangmai by the express train. You will see the beautiful scenery along the way. Arrive Chiangmai in the afternoon. Overnight in Chiangmai.

Day 7 Chiangmai
Morning: In Chiangmai , an old city of 700 years, is the second largest city in Thailand, located in the highlands of the North and known as "Rose of The North". A major centre for Thai art and handicrafts.
Afternoon: Visit a Home Industry Village, to see handicrafts and souveniers being made. Overnight in Chiangmai.

Day 8 Chiangmai
Morning: Visit to Chiangmai University, a very large campus. Then up to Doi Suthep mountain, to visit the famous temple Wat Prathat Doi Suthep and the nearby Royal Palace; Phuping Rachinevet.
Afternoon: Drive up the scenic Mai Sai Valley, to visit an Elephant Village and a beautiful Orchid Farm. Exciting shopping for bargains at the " Night Bazzar " market. Overnight in Chiangmai.

Day 9 Chiangmai - Bangkok
Morning: A quick trip to Chiangmai Airport, to fly back to Bangkok.
Afternoon: Freetime for shopping or sightseeing in Bangkok - "The City of Angles". Farewell Dinner. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 10 Departure Home
To Bangkok International Airport, to check-in, ready for departure.
